A studio that sells the software it runs on.
Berkine builds AI applications for teams whose businesses depend on them running tomorrow, then sells those applications with every line of source. If it is not good enough for our own work, it does not ship to yours.

Applications, not scaffolding.
Authentication, billing, queues, tests and deployment are already wired together before a product is listed. What you buy runs.
- AI applications, sold with the source
- Nine complete products — workspaces, agent frameworks, retrieval, speech, vision, analytics — each one a repository you deploy yourself under a Regular or Extended licence.
- Plugins that extend them without a fork
- Nine packages for the parts everyone needs and nobody wants to write twice: model routing, usage metering, guardrails, caching, evaluation. Installed in minutes, upgraded without conflicts.
- Installation, when you would rather not
- A fixed-price service that stands the stack up on your shared host, your VPS or your AWS account, quoted per environment with the turnaround written on the card.
- Support from the people who wrote it
- Six months with every purchase, answered by engineers rather than a ticket queue. Attach the licence and the thread arrives with the tier and version on it.
What we do not do: hosted-only products, seat-priced access to our own software, or anything that stops working because we stopped answering. See the licence for the terms in full.
Built out of other people's mistakes.
Between us there is a lot more experience than the company has years, and most of it was earned repairing software that had been sold cheaply and left. That is the whole reason the source comes with the product.

Two engineers and a contract book
Berkine started as a two-person studio taking on the Laravel work other agencies had given up on: half-finished dashboards, billing that had never reconciled, queues nobody trusted. Rescue work teaches you quickly which decisions cost people money eighteen months later.
-
2019
Selling the tooling we already used
Every rescue reused the same internal scaffolding — auth, roles, billing, deployment. We cleaned one of those up, documented it, and listed it. It sold better in a month than a month of client work paid.
-
2020
Source included, or not at all
We had watched too many clients stranded on a platform they could not leave. So the licence was settled early and has not moved since: you buy the repository, you self-host it, and we never hold the keys to your own product.

2021
Plugins, so upgrades survive customisation
Buyers were forking products to add one feature, then stranding themselves on a version we no longer patched. Extensions became first-class packages instead, which is why a plugin can be installed in five minutes and an upgrade stays conflict-free.

2022
The first AI features, in anger
Embeddings, classification and summarisation went into client work before they went into anything we sold. That order matters: we found the cost, latency and failure modes on our own invoices rather than on a buyer's.
-
2023
MagicDesk, and a category to lead
The first product built AI-native rather than AI-retrofitted: multi-tenant workspace, usage metering and billing in the box, because a demo that cannot meter tokens is not a business. It topped its category and has funded its own roadmap ever since. No investors to please.

2024
Support brought back in-house
Outsourced first-line support was answering fast and helping rarely. Now the engineers who wrote the code answer the tickets about it — six months with every purchase, first reply usually inside four hours.
-
2025
Rebuilt, and sold direct
The catalogue moved to Laravel 13 and Livewire 4, and we stopped renting a marketplace: this storefront, its checkout and its three payment gateways are ours, so licensing terms and prices are decided here rather than negotiated with a platform.
-
2026
Nine scripts, nine plugins
Licences, registered domains and support windows now live in the buyer area, so what you own is visible without asking us. The catalogue is deliberately still eighteen items — we would rather patch nine applications properly than list ninety.
- 01 We run it first
- Every product is in production somewhere of ours before it is listed. The first person inconvenienced by a bad decision should be us.
- 02 Small catalogue on purpose
- Eighteen items, each still maintained. A catalogue you cannot patch is a liability dressed as a portfolio.
- 03 Written to be read
- The next person to open the file is a stranger on a deadline. Comments explain the decision, not the syntax.
- 04 Shipped, then written down
- Nothing is announced before it exists. The changelog only grows after the work is done.
What that produces, release by release, is on the changelog .
