Human Agent turns a chatbot from a deflection tool into a genuine support channel. When a visitor's message matches any configured trigger phrase — "talk to a human", "live agent" and a sensible default list, plus whatever you add — the conversation escalates and the chatbot owner is notified in real time in an agent console. The agent accepts, replies live in the same thread the visitor is already in, and resolves it when done. Nothing restarts, and no context is lost in a handover form.

The details are what stop it feeling broken at the edges. If no agent is online the visitor sees a custom away message rather than silence, and after a configurable wait — ten seconds to ten minutes — they are offered a return to AI mode instead of being left staring at a dead thread. Agents have an explicit online/offline status so availability is a decision, not a guess. Escalation, acceptance and resolution are all broadcast in real time so the console stays current without refreshing. On resolve, an AI-written summary is attached to the conversation, which gives the next agent context and turns the transcript into something reviewable.

The live chat itself runs entirely on your own installation. Post-resolution summaries are written by OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini, resolved automatically from the chatbot's own configured model, with a per-chatbot key fallback.
