Cloudflare R2 Storage combines zero egress fees with the reach of Cloudflare's global network. For a platform serving images and video to users worldwide, that pairing is hard to beat: media is stored once, delivered from wherever the viewer is, and downloads never appear on the bandwidth bill. Unlimited downloads at no bandwidth cost changes how freely you can let users share and re-download their work.
Configuration is short because the plugin derives the R2 endpoint from your account ID — account ID, access key, secret and bucket is the whole setup. Connecting a custom domain gives you branded, cached delivery of every creative. The API is S3-compatible so behaviour matches the other storage plugins, creatives offload automatically on creation with optional local deletion, and key prefixes keep buckets organised.
